The City of Aurora celebrates its favorite furry friends at the 8th annual Aurora Pooch Parade at Wilder Park. The first 125 registered dogs march in the parade and compete for titles including Biggest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Costume, Twinsies (Owner & Dog), Most Energetic, and Fan Favorite. Registration opens September 4 and closes October 1; parade dogs must be current on vaccinations, socialized, and on a standard leash. Not registered? All dogs and their people are welcome to come watch the parade, mingle, and browse the pet vendors.
