Canine Companions' free, dog-friendly festival on the Liberty Station Central Promenade in Point Loma: live music, games for people and pets, a puppy costume contest, vendors and sponsors, and a Canine Companions client speaking with their service dog team. Canine Companions is a nonprofit that provides expertly trained service dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities at no cost to them, and the day doubles as a chance to meet service dog teams and find out about volunteering. Registration is open and proceeds go to the service dog programme.
