The Village of North Aurora's Oktoberfest includes a Dachshund Costume Contest at 2:45 PM followed immediately by the Dachshund Race at approximately 3:15 PM. Dachshund mixes are welcome. Pre-registration of your dachshund is required via the Oktoberfest page. Prizes for the top three costumes, and treats plus a pet store gift card for race winners. The wider festival runs 12 PM to 10 PM and is free to attend. Dogs are welcome throughout and must be leashed.
