Dogs and owners at charity walk

Seattle's annual Wag & Walk charity 5K is back for 2026 and bigger than ever. One of the Pacific Northwest's most beloved dog events, it brings together hundreds of dogs for a scenic walk through Seattle's waterfront, raising money for local shelter dogs.

Event Details

About the Event

The Wag & Walk is a non-competitive charity walk — not a race — so you set your own pace. The route follows the Elliott Bay Trail with stunning views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and the city skyline. Most participants finish in about 45 minutes to an hour.

Where Does the Money Go?

100% of registration fees go to the Seattle Humane Society, funding medical care for shelter dogs, behavioral rehabilitation programs, and their 'Second Chance' adoption program that has placed over 3,000 dogs in permanent homes.

What to Bring

Tip: Register early — the event typically sells out two weeks before the date. Early bird pricing ($30) is available until April 15.
