Lace up your running shoes and celebrate International Dog Day with the Day of the Dog Virtual Race! This tenth annual event invites you to run, walk, or jog 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1, or 26.2 at your convenience, anytime throughout August or September 2026. Whether you choose to participate on International Dog Day (August 26th) or another day, this virtual race offers a fantastic opportunity to get active while honoring your favorite canine companion. It's a family-friendly event, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, promoting health and a love for dogs. Beyond the personal challenge, this race is dedicated to a meaningful cause. A generous 15% of every registration fee will be donated to Freedom Service Dogs of America. This incredible nonprofit rescues and custom-trains dogs to assist individuals with disabilities, including children, veterans, and active-duty military. Participants will receive a commemorative medal and race bib, which will begin shipping out mid-May 2026. The registration fee is $25, covering your race essentials and a valuable donation.
